Santi’s summary

Tuesday June 25, 2024-Anapoima, Colombia-

What a nice surprise. My big man, Santi, decided to do a post for me. I thought he did great. Thank you bud. I also love that he ended his post with his patented; “Pickle Out!” I love it!

His summary was great. One thing not captured was how hot and humid it was. I don’t know, it was only 85 degrees but it was a two times in the pool day. The house has a big floor fan which really moves the air around but it comes at a price, it is super loud. In this house, only the bedrooms are air conditioned. Today, I am extremely grateful for the pool.

While peanut was down for a nap, Claudia and the kids went to the sitting area around the pool. Mariana worked out with mami if she read for 1.5 hours in Spanish, she could watch the argentina v chile soccer game tonight. Huh! Win - win-win! She loves to read anyway…she gets her soccer game…and we have our kids reading in their leisure time. Unforced! No fighting! So awesome! Santi too. Unfortunately, his Spanish isn’t to his grade level so he is a little bored with his books but we have found some that he is ok with. Me? I got to read a few chapters of my “Still Breathing” book. Also got to put on the headphones and listen to music.

Fast forward, pool session 2. Nani had been wanting to wail on her mom at ping pong for a couple days now but it hasn’t worked out. Little dude missed his afternoon nap because he woke up so late from the morning nap. We put him in the stroller and essentially rocked him to sleep. He was cranky missing that nap. He drifted off and Nani had a chance to take on her mother. I had the opportunity to slide back into the pool and watch the sunset. Man that was so nice and relaxing. Took a few pics risking fumbling into the pool. Still, very nice so bear with me.

My feet in the picture. Apparently a theme.

Beautiful

Not knowing he is being watched.

Here is my soccer nerd getting to watch the Argentina vs Chile game. 0-0 at the 74 minute mark. Good game so far.

but I think that’ll be a wrap for the night. To tell the truth, I wouldn’t mind going back out to the pool for round 3.

Good night.
