March 18, 2024; Vespers of the Feast of St. Joseph

Going back in time a little bit; March 10-19; Novena to St. Jospeh

St. Joseph is my patron Saint. Why? He is the adoptive father. We have a lot in common. When I came into the Catholic church, I was never asked who my patron saint would be but I always had a, for lack of a better word, a veneration to St. Joseph. He never says anything in the Bible, he only listened to and followed God’s will. And I wasn’t even an adoptive father and we werent even thinking about the process.

We started a Novena to St. Joseph on March 10, 2024 at home in Excelsior. We had planned a little vacation to St. Augustine, Florida so we would end our Novena at St. Augustine. We had decided together to pray for the intercession and prayers of St. Joseph for our family. We had some history of his intercession when we adopted Santiago where we also prayed a Novena for St. Joseph the Worker which is in May. We received Santi’s referral shortly after praying for his intercession for us. Lets not forget about the intercession of the Virgin Mary as well. All these saints in heaven praying for us here on earth. It is wonderful to think about.
