Father’s Day edition…
Sunday June 16, 2024 - Father’s Day
Everyone slept in a little this morning. That was fantastic! But we did pry ourselves out of bed & made our way to church. Before that, peanut needed his bottle and when I came down the stairs, this is what I found. Spying around the corner I caught this tender moment
After the bottle, Santi finally woke up and came down stirs….BEARING GIFTS! It is Father’s Day after all. A wonderful card that said I was “adequate to date” which was nice to hear. Lots of St. Joseph gear (my patron saint).
My other big helper
It was a nice church and it was absolutely packed! People were sitting on the steps up to the altar and standing room only. Peanut started to get a bit restless so we made our way to the back, but there wasn’t a back. I had to go out of the church where there were several dozen people standing outside listening to mass. It was actually very cool; standing room only!
I honestly believe that this was Andre’s very first mass. He did great but, yeah, he is 7-month old after all. I took a couple pictures after mass of everyone leaving.
Great seats for mass
Initially, we were planning on a 10:00 mass but turned out the time at that church was incorrect. So we scrambled to find a later one which we did but that threw a wrench in our plan. Mariana is bummed because there is a huge market that happens only on Sundays that she wanted to go to and now, with Andres nap schedule, it might be closed. We might drive by after he wakes up to check it out.
After the nap, we decided it was bath time. Since he has been sick, we didn’t want to give him a bath and get a chill. So we waited. Note the tub we got. It worked so awesome and he had a blast. Didn’t want to get out of course the water was as warm as bath water. Hahaha!
Tongues out! Bathtub theme.
As I said, he had a great time in the water!
Unfortunately, the party was over sooner than he wanted. The water we arm but it is still low 60’s outside and has been raining all day so the is a bit of a chill.
I’m going to post this now. I might come back and add some more details later.
UPDATE:
Too funny to pass up. The dream of Santi changing a poopy diaper I think is over. Can’t stop dry heaving ! I appreciate his persistence though!
