Disease, disease, disease!

Friday August 12, 2024 -bogota, Colombia (part 2)

Look, I’m not ignoring the blog. That is the furthest from the truth. But, Mercedes, who is staying with us for a couple of days, she came down with an Epic flu with all the symptoms that go with it. We did our best to take care of her. Well, next day, she was doing a lot better and Claudia and I started getting that feeling. Claudia Nyquil’d up last night. She was knocked out. Fortunately peanut only woke up once at midnight and was back to bed pretty easy. The kids still had their soccer camp so I accompanied them in a comatose state. Then back to the apartment and back to bed. I didn’t get up until 1:30.

Life goes on, kind of. Kids aren’t sick and God willing it stays that way, Bogota! Ugh! Hot cold wet repeat!

This was our last pre-death picture. Went to Oliveta is Usaquen. Outstanding! Great choice, maybe the best of this trip so far.
